The oldest italian gathering for didge players (almost every year since 2003) and for anyone interested to listen and learn something more about this fascinating musical instrument of the Australian Aboriginal People.
The gathering will take place on the 23rd and 24th of May, from 18:00 at the farm, "Ai Vecchi Ippocastani" in the small village of Joannis, on the outskirts of Aiello del Friuli. On Saturday we will begin with a presentation by Martin O'Loughlin of didgeridoo (yidaki) in the context of Aboriginal Australia followed by a presentation by Andrea Venica of the didgeridoo as an instrument for recuperating deep breathing in particular for people with spinal lesions. This will be followed by an open stage session and then, after about 20:30, evenint concerts.
It will be possible also to simply meet other didge players, to play to listen and to deepen your understanding of this magical instrument.
To arrive, at the Palmanova exit from the highway take the road south towards Cervignano. After a few kilometres turn to the left to enter the small town of Strassoldo. After another 500 metres turn left following the indication for Joannis and Aiello di Friuli. Just as you enter Joannis immediately on the right is the entrance to the farm "Ai Vecchi Ippocastani".
