Fluiditj is devoted, in collaboration also with iDIDJ in Australia, to
providing instruments of high cultural integrity and information on the
yidaki/mago/didgeridoo for those who are interested in deepening their
understanding and knowledge of this instrument and the culture from
which it comes. Fluiditj supports Australian Aboriginal craftsman.
The name Fluiditj comes from the union of the word Fluidity, which represents the fluid sound of the didgeridoo and ditj, the ditjeridoo (onomatopaeic word that represents the sound of the instrument). Martin O'Loughlin plays the didgeridoo since 1994. For the major part he is self taught but with various important lessons and workshops with aboriginal masters like David Blanasi and Djalu Gurruwiwi. Amongst other things he has also travelled to the community where Djalu Gurruwiwi lives with his family in the North-East of Arnhem Land in Austrllia's Northern Territory, the region where the true origins of the yidaki/didgeridoo are. There he managed to deepen his understanding of the instrument and of the culture that surrounds it, on the search for instruments, their preparation and on the traditional playing style. |

il loro conoscenza di questo strumento e la cultura dalla quale viene.

Il nome Fluiditj viene dall'unione della parola Fluidita' che rappresenta il suono fluido del didgeridoo e ditj, the ditjeridoo (parola onomatopaeica che assomiglia il suono dello strumento). Martin O'Loughlin suona il didgeridoo dal 1994. Per la maggior parte e' autodidatta, ma gli spunti piu' importanti li ha ottenuti tramite gli incontri con vari maestri Aborigeni come David Blanasi e Djalu Gurruwiwi. Tra le altre cose, ha anche visitato la comunita' dove abita Djalu Gurruwiwi con la sua famiglia nella zona di Nord-Est Arnhem Land, dove si trovano le vere origine dell' Yirdaki/didgeridoo. Li e` riuscito ad approfondire molto sul yirdaki nella loro cultura, sulla ricerca e preparazione dello strumento e sul suono tradizionale. |
